Mike Snow
Gold Cap Ambassador Operations Manager
Mike arrived in Myrtle Beach on February 29th 2004 from the mountain west thinking he was going to spend the summer working for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. He would then spend the next 17 years in Myrtle Beach ultimately ending his time as assistant general manager. In 2020 during the height of the pandemic Mike became employee number one for the Gold Cap Ambassadors engineering the start-up operation, predating the formation of the Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance.
Mike previously served on the City of Myrtle Beach Bicycle and Pedestrian committee as both chair and vice chair. Eventually transitioning out after 8 years he went on to co-found and serve as event director for Bike the Beach Myrtle Beach’s only charity bicycle ride which just completed its third year. Away from Block by Block and the Downtown Alliance Mike is very involved in the Myrtle Beach Community serving on the Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand’s Safety Committee, The Myrtle Beach Air Force Base Redevelopment Authority and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce’s Community Engagement Committee. In 2022 Mike rappelled off the Avista resort in North Myrtle Beach raising money for New Directions.
Mike is a graduate of Leadership Grand Strand and has attended both the City of Myrtle Beach Civilian Police and Fire Academies
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stetson University in Deland, Florida.
